Android 4.4.2 Kitkat arrives on Google Nexus devices

Rolling out to the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10
SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Google has pushed out Android 4.4.2 Kitkat to its line of Nexus devices, despite having released Android 4.4.1 Kitkat just a few days ago.
Android 4.4.2 Kitkat reportedly has started appearing on the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 devices, but we'd advise not getting too excited about the update yet.
According to the changelog, the update to Android 4.4.2 Kitkat delivers a fix for clearing the VM Indicator, a fix for delivery of the VM Indicator and various additional software fixes and security enhancements.
This uninspiring list could be because the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update reportedly arrives as a replacement for the Android 4.4.1 Kitkat update that Google put out on Friday. According to the US Sprint network forums, Google might have pulled the previous update, fixed some of the bugs and relaunched it.
That means that Nexus 5 users who have yet to update to Android 4.4.1 Kitkat are likely to welcome the software bump, as Google said that the update will fix issues with the Nexus 5's 8MP rear-facing camera, with users previously having reported problems with shutter lag and focus.
Whether or not it's a replacement update, Android 4.4.2 Kitkat should improve the camera with "faster focusing, especially in low light, faster white balancing, for truer colors, the ability to pinch-zoom the viewfinder in HDR+ mode and less shutter lag". The updated high dynamic range (HDR+) mode also has a new burst mode.
