How to upgrade Ginger bread device N3 and P3 custom rom to Android 4.0

These are the below requirement
needed for custom rom upgrade for N3
and P3 to Android 4.0:-
NOTE: before anything read here on how to set up clockworkmod for recovery and rom installation 1. It is always adviceable you back up
your present ROM before flashing it
with a custom ROM
2. Before we begin, you need a CWM
recovery for your N3/P3 download it
here
How To Install Custom Rom For N3 &
P3
1.Downlaod Eblak_N7(ROM) here and
su-bin-3.1.1-arm-signed(FOR
ROOTING) here

2.place it on your sdcard root

3.Boot to recovery>>wipe data factory
resetand wipe cache partition

4.Goto Advance "wipe dalvik cache”

5.Select +++go back+++àThen,
select‘install zip from sd card’. Choose
zip from sd card

6.Select Eblak_N7.zip then Navigate to
"YES". As soon as you see "installation
complete", select choose zip from sd
card

7.And choose su-bin-3.1.1-arm-
signed.zip. When you are through,
select “+++go back+++” and choose
“power off”. You can then restart your
device.

For P3 Users alone (Patch Installing)
==>Download P3_Patch here

==>Save the downloaded file on your sd
card

==>Go to clockworkmod and install the
zip. Their is no need to wipe anything,
just install the zip from clockworkmod.
That's it guys.
You should now have a branded ics
custom rom running 4.0 installed on
your device.
Once you have successfully upgraded
your rom to android 4.0, here are the
likely features for it to have:-
==>Full ics interface

==>Transparent notification menu

==>Good lock screen

==>ICS camera

==>Full Odex ROM

==>RAM Manager,Less Lags,better
Multitasking

==>Automatic Zipalign (Zipalign xbin is
included)

==>TCP and 3G Tweaks For Better
Network

==>Better Battery Life through Battery
Tweaks
And lot more.

  2. Hello thanks for the post I did all of it and I got it right now on my N3 I run android 4.0 buh if I try to access the Playstore it just force close please any reason why and a fix please I really hope to hear your reply

  4. am using rom manager 4my backup but after enter the boot menu i can't find the advance settings options

    1. You cant see d advance oprmtion because you have not set your clockworkmod rom manager to work see post here on

  5. am havin anoda problem...av installed d mobile uncle and added d recovery.img file.my problem nw is dat my fone does nt enter in2 d boot menu animore...it turns on normally but will nuht boot into d boot menu..so plss, tell me wat to do

    1. Hold the power off button and the volume down button down together when starting your device it will take you to the boot menu

  6. @abdul..tnx 4d all d help wit d upgrade.. i rili appreciate..my onli prob wit d upgrade is dat i still can't use bbm on it..both playstore and other mobile market still say my n3 is nuht compatible wit d app i.e they still view d fone as gingerbread os nd nuh ics) all d same, tanx and God bless

  9. how can you re-install the previous os 2.3.5 because this 4.0.4 has so many bugs and some applications are missing such as video, message, the camera is working and so much more so how do i reinstall the previous one
